Well, after months of work and anticipation....ta da!! Blooms!
Every morning now I wake up early, grab my coffee and run out to the garden, just to see what is in bloom or what is on the verge of blooming.
Of course, I hope no one is looking as I am often still in my jammies!
Not only is it wonderful to see the different blooms, but now I can begin to relax a little knowing that I will have flowers to share. For a while now, my husband has been listening to me despairing over the fact that "I'm never going to have flowers!"
Oh me of little faith! God give me more faith in you and your provision!
,About a week ago, a friend asked me if I would be able to create a bouquet for her daughter's birthday party! A Tea Party birthday to be exact with a Alice in Wonderland theme.
Now y"all know that the weather here has been, as I said before, schizophrenic. I wanted to do it for her, but was still a little unsure of what I would have available.
So... I was very excited when I saw the first blooms of the Alium planted last fall, purple and white, and then to have my favorite roses begin to bloom.
Seeing this miracle occur, I began to fashion a petite bouquet suitable for a Wonderland party.
My little customer was thrilled and so was I!
Spring, the date we look forward to, the first edition to any calendar in my house!
The weathermen, weatherwomen, were all proclaiming Spring has sprung, however,
in reality our weather was well, schizophrenic.
One day the weather was beautiful, clear and cool, the next day, frigid temperatures and snow, and then the next, high winds and tornados.
All this back and forth has made spring planting difficult if not impossible.
We did an early spring planting, but after all the high wind and heavy rain, not many of our babies sprouted.
So here we go again. We have replanted and are soooo looking forward to those beautiful blooms. !
